Today, kiwi homeowners are beset on all sides by difficulties when trying to get a healthy, green home designed. There’s choosing the right designer, wading through all the technical information, and of course the huge expense of good design (on top of already pricey build costs).

That’s why we created our Healthy Home Plans – which are a way for prospective homeowners to get a green home designed for around 80% less than an equivalent custom design.

What’s different about Greenbridge’s Healthy Home Plans:

  • Our plans are designed and specified toxin-free, for a healthy living environment for you and your family.
  • All our plans have optimised layouts and built in storage, to reduce costs while retaining liveability.
  • Our plans come Homestar rated, which means a warmer, drier home that uses less water, power and lower bills.
  • Each design utilises waste reduction & sustainable specifications, to minimise environmental impacts.
  • Every one of our plans come independently priced, giving you surety of build costs from the get go…

Who is Greenbridge and what makes us qualified to launch these plans?

Greenbridge is a value lead design studio, based in New Plymouth under the beautiful Maunga Taranaki.  We’re an **impact enterprise that has been designing sustainable landscapes, healthy homes and resilient community projects since April 2012.  We have received multiple awards, including being awarded for Environmental Leadership in Business by the Taranaki Regional Council in 2018; one of the homes we designed for New Plymouth’s first Pocket Neighbourhood – John Mana Way, received a Silver Award for House of The Year in 2017 and our design team has a combined work experience of over 80 years.

Greenbridge’s has also worked on several large projects including: Working with Ockham Residential on Bernoulli Gardens – a sustainable 115 apartment development at Hobsonville Point in Auckland; Being design lead for the concept and developed design phases New Plymouth District Council’s new resource recovery centre ‘The Junction’; and of course we’ve completed multiple build and installs, of sustainably focussed home and landscapes projects for our clients locally.

As such, we have a strong understanding of the challenges facing aspiring new home owners.  And with two of our team members backgrounds in industrial design, we take a different approach to designing homes…  “We see a home as a beautiful product, that should not only be practical and durable, but which should be healthy for its occupants, be energy and water efficient, while minimising impacts on the environment”.  This approach, along with our experience in manufacturing, cabinetry, interior design and yacht design, gives us a unique perspective for designing small footprint homes that are healthy, efficient, a joy to live in, and that have a comparable build cost to a conventional home.

We’re Launching our Healthy Home Plans in September!

We’ve put in the groundwork and developed four home styles, across seven different layouts – to make a range of twenty seven home plans (ranging from: sleep-outs and studios, through to single-level one bedroom homes, all the way up to four bedroom mezzanine homes) and we’ve done our research to ensure we can deliver on our promises.

NOW IT’S UP TO YOU, our valued audience – to get behind what we’re doing…

We’re Launching our Healthy Home Plans through Pledge Me in September, in order to: get feedback on our ideas, help us decide which plans to release first, and of course to help fund development of these plans and make best-practice home design available at about one fifth of the cost of an equivalent custom design service to kiwis across New Zealand.

So nows the time to get involved if you: want to access our plans at special pre-release pricing; have your say on which plans are developed first and how; you want to support us make these plans accessible to more kiwis; or you simply want to be kept in the loop about our progress… Then fill in the form below:
