Greenbridge designs and implements regenerative landscapes on urban and rural sites. We are specialists in holistic, organic and permaculture systems, including edible home gardens, ecological plantings, orchards and food forests, shelter-belts, woodlots, high value forestry and farm diversification.

We co-create an abundant, vibrant landscape ecology with you, your land’s kaitiaki (guardian).  We can help you integrate small animals like chooks, bees, ducks as well as larger livestock, develop supporting infrastructure, plan recycling systems to turn waste into nutrient resources and identify the best plantings for your individual site.

A range of packages for eco-garden, lifestyle block and farm-sized properties are available to meet your budget and give you the level of detail you need. We can also customise a package just for you.

ECO GARDENS

Urban and rural sites up to 1 acre (4000sqm)

We can show you the abundance that’s possible to grow in your backyard, whether you are newly arrived to Taranaki, a local creating their first garden or you need help revitalising an existing garden.  Our garden plan sets you up to grow abundant, nutrient-dense food (and will save you from costly, discouraging mistakes).

Growing your own food is the biggest impact a household can have to transform the wasteful and harmful industrialised food system, to a healthy and sustainable one.  An edible garden can provide organic food, natural medicines and increase mental wellbeing.  Shop less, drive less and slash your plastic packaging, all while eating fresher, healthier food.

There’s no one ‘right way’ to be a good food grower and it doesn’t happen overnight.  Greenbridge designs an edible or ecological garden that is specifically and creatively tailored to your needs and site.  You can move forward with confidence, because the growing methods we show are tried and tested and sit within the bigger framework of regenerative practice.  We offer varying levels of garden design depending on the amount of detail you require, your budget and how many garden options you wish to explore…

Greenbridge can also help you install your eco-garden

$495  Walk & Talk + Written Report

By popular request we’ve introduced a new advisory service. For those of you not wanting a full design service, and instead are just after a bit of advice to head you in the right direction… we come to your site and spend around an hour and a half with you, discussing your project, looking at the site conditions and then come up with options that you can DIY yourself.  This approach is sometimes all that’s needed to feel reassured by experts, that you are on the right path (or steer you clear of pitfalls).  We then go away and write up a basic report for you, which captures these ideas and references.

Price excludes GST & travel

$745  Remote Walk & Talk + Written Report + Info sheets

How does it work?  Once you’ve decided our Walk & Talk service is for you, we will book a video call with one of our Ecological consultants Bena or Kama.  You’ll then have some simple prep to do; taking photos of your site, answering questions we email you (likewise we’ll research aerial photos and contour maps of your property).  We’ll then spend about 1.5 hours with you (via video a call) discussing your project, your needs, and if possible do a remote walk around (using your phone or laptop, to show us your site conditions.  We then write up a basic report, which captures these ideas that you can DIY yourself.  You’ll also receive three of our regenerative info-sheets, as applicable to your project.

We need to test this service!  Book in to be our first test client and you’ll receive this service worth $450 for FREE!

“After moving into our new property … I enlisted Greenbridge’s help for a ‘walk through’ consultation. It was incredibly helpful, even though I already had some elementary knowledge of permaculture.  Bena was able to make clear all the things I had been finding confusing, advise optimal placement for the trees, make suggestions on how and when to move them, which companion plants would be helpful as well as other ideas such as making use of our home grey water to irrigate the garden.  I felt very relieved to have this advice and much more confident to move forward.  I would definitely recommend this service to anyone needing advice on their property”.

Walk & Talk

$1495-1995  Single Basic Concept + $1495-1995  Basic Developed Design

Great for people who know what they want or who are budget conscious.  We discuss ideas with you onsite and come up with a rough garden plan on the day for your feedback.  We then go away and refine it, keeping things hand drawn for expediency and to keep cost down.  The resulting single sketch is a juicy design plan, it’s not about pretty pictures or perfection, but rather about getting key information down on paper for you, so you can move forward with confidence.  Fruit and nuts are described by type ie Apple, but you’ll need to make your own selection of varieties.  We’ll provide you with your choice of 4 of our regenerative-info sheets, as relevant to your project.  Total service time is 3-12 days depending on our schedule and your availability.

Add an additional concept for $495.  Add an simple developed design for $1495

$1,995  Remote Sketch Concept

For the remote sketch design we recommend having an initial chat via phone or video call, to discuss your project with us and ensure the best fit or you and your vision.  Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll have some prep to do: taking site photos and answering some preliminary questions (we’ll also do background research as applicable to get a good sense of your site).  Payment of a 50% deposit will book you into our schedule and allow us to make a start on your project.  Either Bena or Kama (our two ecological designers) will set up a video meeting, take a project brief and if possible, do a remote walk around to look at the site conditions (we’ll even get you to dig a whole or two so we can do a visual soil assessment together!)  We then go away and generate ideas for your feedback, which will be drawn up into a single sketch design.  You’ll receive our regenerative-info sheets as relevant to your project and where practical, we will complete a post-design site visit to ensure we have matched your design to the site correctly (NP region only).

Be the first to book a remote sketch design service and receive; a FREE fruit tree, comfrey nodes and site visit (post lock-down) to tweak the design if needed!

“Kama, the concept master you assembled was a great encapsulation of stuff I was after but couldn’t articulate and really respects the environment we’re in – even giving it a boost. The discussions with you were excellent, fun and I felt you listened well and captured the feedback I provided. Your own precision and pushback on things that wouldn’t work was also great. No one wants ‘Yes’ men’

REGENERATIVE FARM DESIGN

Farmers face many new regulations and challenges… such as requirements to increase waterway fencing setbacks, reduce nitrogen and phosphorus losses, and reduce or offset climate emissions.

Work with us to turn those challenges into opportunities:

  • Increase livestock health through increased shelter, shade, soil health, and diversity of diet.
  • Grow beauty and biodiversity on your farm – create a wonderful place to work & live.
  • Utilise funds (such as Billion Trees Fund) to establish plantings.
  • Earn carbon income for decades to come.
  • Increase your profit.
  • Consider diversifying your farming activities.

Through integrating trees and forests into your farm landscape, our farm design service will help you meet future challenges, as well as achieve your vision for your farm.

Our farm designs are tailored to meet the needs of your site and farming business.  They will:

  • Assess land-use, erosion, habitats, and topography.
  • Provide a broadscale farm design that will improve animal health & productivity, increase waterway health & water quality, address your climate emissions, increase biodiversity and beauty.
  • Aim to utilise funding opportunities for establishment costs.
  • Aim to earn you carbon credit income for decades to come.
  • If appropriate, identify profitable diversification opportunities.

Alongside this, our partner business can work with you on grazing & pasture management that will:

  • increase your resilience to droughts & floods;
  • produce a higher quality product;
  • increase farm profitability and your quality of life;
  • grow your soil rapidly and sequester deep stable soil carbon.

Greenbridge and Integrity Soils are teaming up to provide regenerative agriculture workshops for small groups of innovative farmers – please get in touch to find out more and when the next workshop is running…

In 2012, I approached Greenbridge for ideas on how to diversify our whānau dairy farm.  I decided to see how (regenerative) design could transform a small 180 cow dairy farm. Kama and Dan were awesome to work with and had some great ideas such as living fences, shelter belts with trees that had medicinal benefits for cattle, hemp cropping, stock exclusion zones to help clean waterways and growing high value trees on marginal land.  I have done a short course with greenbridge and then completed my full PDC with kama 2 years ago. I highly recommend greenbridge for all your (regenerative) design needs.
